What an insane six weeks! I managed to wrap up almost all the testing for season three in March (although it turned me into a rattled insomniac), then all this week I have been in Toronto for the launch of the new season of the show (yay!) and for the Toronto Wine and Cheese Festival. That's me with Food Network host Anna Olsen in the photo. She was presenting just before me on Saturday (the calm before the storm). I can never get over Anna's serenity at these events. It was such a mad-house – so packed with lively wine drinkers and cheese eaters – and Anna just stays totally Zen. Something for me to aspire to!
I am flying out tonight for a mind-cleansing holiday….actually, right now it's not feeling like a very restful agenda, however…(change will be as good as a rest, I hope). I'll be a couple of weeks in Italy with my mom and dad, a couple of weeks in France with friends (and for my birthday!), and a week in Ghana to visit an orphanage that my friend works for. Very diverse, what? Hopefully I'll come back with lots of fresh inspiration and some good stories. I'll be sure to share!à bientôt, |
