There I am on the Ferris wheel in Paris just days before it suddenly got dismantled -- and before I ended up flying back to Canada earlier than planned. (Goes to show you: opportunities must be seized for a reason.) I have had a few days in Halifax doing voice-overs for a one-hour special we shot this summer in France, and which I have just learned will air on Mother’s Day (so be sure to tune in while you’re getting your French toast in bed - if you’re a mummy, that is). Also, the new season of French Food at Home begins the end of March, so watch for that, too.
I’m off to Toronto tomorrow for the rest of the month where we’re shooting a Christmas special for next year, and where I’ll put the finishing touches on the book I have been writing in France. I had plans to be there through spring (anything to avoid 20° below with a wind-chill factor), but oh well: sometimes life steps in and forces our minds to change. I’ll guess I’ll just have to grit my teeth and embrace my inner (and outer) Canadian. Besides, there is a good side: cold weather gives me a fabulous appetite! A bientôt, |
