We just wrapped season II of Recipe to Riches for Food Network Canada. It was great fun to be on set again with co-judges Tony Chapman, Dana McCauley, and Galen Weston, and of course with host Jessie Palmer (who has the most amazing memory, by the way…it’s quite alarming). The new season will air this fall, for the simple reason that we just love to test your patience. (kidding)
Mere days from now, I’ll be flying off for my next shoot, this time in the French Alps. There is some dreadful rumour that I’m going to be forced onto the slopes. I haven’t downhill skied in twenty years, so that’s bound to be a picture of grace and composure that you can all look forward to.
Eating lately has been nothing to write home about. I love a good restaurant, but I can’t eat in them every day or I start to assume the body type of a ketchup bottle (the new plastic ones, btw, not the slender old glass ones), and I don’t feel good. After 6 weeks on a shoot schedule, I've had enough restaurant and set food for a lifetime. I’m looking forward to getting back to exercise and to cooking for myself. That won’t be hard because I’ll have food shopping in London and Paris to keep me inspired! These are my favourite cities, so I’ll try to keep you posted on twitter with anything interesting I get up to. There should be lots!
So, that’s the update. See you back on TV before long…and I’ll be in touch again even before then from the road. Promise!
