Trivets
My friend, Camille, always has the coolest kitchen and table items - never standard, always utterly original and impossible to copy. Last week at her apartment in Paris (my old apartment, as it happens) she slapped these two groovy snowflake-like tin trivets on the table to set hot dishes of lamb and Savoy cabbage upon. I think they're old, probably yet another of her fabulous flea market finds... If I can't have them, at least I can keep the photograph for inspiration and maybe I can make my own one day. Or not...maybe I'll just have to admire them whenever I dine chez Camille.
