Tenzo Apron

When I was in Montréal last weekend, I was given a great apron by a Québec-based company called Tenzo.  (I think I was given it, actually, because I tried it on and then was very, very hesitant about taking it off.)  The company makes high-end culinary uniforms and accessories from eco-textiles (organic cottons and recycled polyester). The aprons are super functional (they clip on in back and have useful towel loops on the front) and they are also very handsome with clean lines and pretty colours.  I got a textured blue one and I love it because it looks a bit dressed up, so it feels quite chic thrown over a dinner-party dress while I’m tossing salad, and (this is the best part) it’s actually slimming! What cook wouldn’t be thrilled about that!  See www.tenzochef.com to check store locations or to order directly from the site.
