Out there somewhere (and if you're a decorator, please write and tell me where) there is a book all about the world's most magnificent outdoor furniture. I say "outdoor furniture" because I don't know what else to call it...is there a proper name?  I'm dying to learn more, but despite my ignorance, I do know one thing with cast-iron certainty:  most of it is hideous, tacky, and cheap.

Imagine my glee, then, when I went to a dinner party a week or so ago and, having drinks on the terrace in a lovely back garden all in bloom, spotted this most wonderful of all garden tables. As you can see, it's made of metal, but it's got that romantic draping as if it were covered in cloth.  Useful, weather-resistant, sturdy, and very lovely to look at.  Why can't more outdoor furniture be this stylish?
