Cast Iron Cookware
My picture is a bit fuzzy. Sorry, but I can't seem to hold a camera still. I think you can tell what it is, though: a cast iron frying pan. I bought it for 12 bucks at the Salvation Army in Vancouver a few weeks ago and carried it back in my hand luggage, that's how desperately I wanted it.
Cast iron is the best no-stick cookware you can buy. It needs curing, which is easy. You just wipe the inside with oil on a paper towel, heat up the pan, then turn it off and let it cool. I made an extremely sticky torte in mine the other day and not a speck stuck to it. Now I'll be trolling Salvation Army stores across the country for more to expand my cast iron cookware collection. I hope you don't beat me to it!
